Areas of focus I offer treatements focused in these areas:

Orthopaedic

My 32 year physiotherapy career has been specialized in orthopedics, the treatment of the musculoskeletal body.

Working with the orthopedic team at Southlake Regional Health Center since 1993, I have treated all types of post-surgical patients, including, ACL, rotator cuff repairs, total knee and hip replacement and fracture repairs.

If you are seeking physiotherapy treatment following a recent surgery or if you have lingering pain or stiffness after surgery or an injury, please contact me to learn how I may be able to help you.

Sports Injury

As an avid recreational athlete, I have struggled with my share of injuries. I understand an athlete’s need for a speedy recovery with the least amount of impact on training.

Early in my career, I spent 6 years working at Scarborough General’s Sports Injury Clinic. I have worked with professional athletes, who returned from injury to win competitions.

My over 32 years as an orthopedic therapist, augmented with over 7 years’ experience as a matrix repatterning practitioner, allows me to offer athletes effective treatment, where other treatments may have failed.

If you have a sports injury either new or old, contact me to see how I can help.

Concussions

Through living and enjoying life, mishaps, falls, bumps to the head can occur. Sports, which we participate in for pleasure, day to day accidents and falls all can cause trauma to the brain.

A concussion is a milder type of traumatic brain injury caused by an either direct (hit to the head) or indirect hit (a jolt causing the brain to be hit into the bony skull).

Matrix Repatterning helps to release the trapped energy at a cellular level to allow the body to heal itself.

If you suspect you or a family member has suffered a concussion, please contact me for a free consult.

Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements

I began my career over 32 years ago at the renowned St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital where I developed a sound knowledge in the treatment of joint replacements.

Over the past 23 years, at Southlake Regional Health Center, I have worked on the MSK ward assisting patient’s immediately after surgery and have worked in the total knee and total hip pre-op and post-op classes.

If you have had a recent joint replacement, are having lingering symptoms following a joint replacement or would like treatment prior to having a joint replacement, please contact me to find how I can help you.
